FAQ'S

When taking over the Club in 2013, the current Melbourne Storm Owners committed to exploring a fan-based model in their five-year business plan. Having developed the business to the point of a solid platform for growth, the Club’s aim is to bring Storm fans closer and give them the opportunity to buy into the success.

The Owners have engaged leading international advisory firm, Greenhill, to advise the Board on the feasibility of a fan-based model. They are in the process of determining the cost structure(s), and will release further information in due course.

The existing Owners understand that working through a fan-based model will be complex and requires extensive fan engagement. The Club is in the very early stages of the project, with no specific timeframe in place. The Owners will take their time to properly consider how the ownership model would work, and whilst they think it would be a great outcome to achieve, they are in no rush.

No, there is no plan to alter the ownership or management structure of the Sunshine Coast Lightning.
